I'm sorry for the shameless self-promotion, but now that I'm working for myself (and trying to make my own businesses my full-time job) I need all the help I can get. (It's hard to put yourself out there sometimes!) Besides starting to take advertising on MIMI+MEG (e-mail me for info!), doing some social media consulting and e-decorating, I've had a business I've been working on for a while. If you've been reading M+M for a while you might know that my husband was in the Air Force. (Due to a car accident & severe neck injury he is not in the Air Force anymore.) But I came up with an idea that regardless of him being in the military or not, I wanted to do anyway.
The selection for cute, affordable, patriotic/military-inspired clothing is pretty dismal, so I wanted to create one and I just launched it last night! I don't expect you all to be interested in the majority of the Modern Military line because it's pretty military-specific, and right now I only have a limited amount of designs until we get some business, but there are two designs you might like, and I'll be coming out with more not-branch-specific designs later.
My personal favorite is the gold flag tee! I can't wait to get these in and get real photos of them! I wear t-shirts under boyfriend jackets and safari-style jackets all the time, so personally I'm excited about the shirts! (They are all American Apparel tees!)
Right now everything is currently on pre-sale status until I can get enough orders to get them printed, so I thank you for your patience (and putting up with this post). If you have any friends that are military wives, I'd be grateful if you'd pass the Modern Military sites along to them. Thank you so much.
